10 Year Celebrations!
After much preparation, designing and sending out the invitations, planning the decorations and food, making the goody bags and getting the prosecco for guests and one very sleepless night, the open days were finally here.
I didn’t need to worry everything went off without a hitch.
We invited all our partners, customers and prospective customers to come and have a coffee, grab a bite to eat and go home with a goody bag which contained, amongst other things a bottle of Euro Digital labelled Prosecco.
The day started out well for one lucky visitor, Adrian Williamson from Acdoco. He is Chris Jordan’s customer (Chris himself has been with Euro Digital Systems from the very beginning and beyond) and for being the first through the door Adrian won himself an Amazon Echo Show 5.
So with the day off to a good start, and with customers arriving thick and fast it was all hands to the pump, with partners and sales mingling with our visitors.
They were shown around the building including our showroom. Here we have all our manufacturers’ devices to demonstrate.
Then off to the kitchen (where every good party ends up) for pastries or lunch.
In the meeting room, we had Docuware showcasing.
They were chatting to customers and potential clients who are looking to understand the benefits and cost reductions of the document management journey and how it could help them.
After the lunch rush, we put our Finance Manager Vincent Dowdall to work checking all the plates and cups before they went back to the caterer, in case we were charged for any missing!
As they say every penny counts ( or so he keeps telling us!)
All the company were on their best behaviour!
Below in the sales department for Nick, Chris and Alan it was business as usual, waiting for their customers to arrive.
Left to right below is Quintin Smit our first-line customer support officer, Ellis Holt who covers call control and Mark Sandbach our professional service technician all poised to take calls and help our customers.
In the second photo you can meet David Shaw who is our Workshop in house engineer, he is responsible for the set-up of your new devices or prepare, clean and replace any mortality parts on any refurbished machines you may want.
We ran a draw for several prizes with the clients and prospects that visited, and the result of that will be published separately so 3 lucky winners will get some special prizes.
So if you came to the open day keep your eyes peeled for the results and we will be in contact.
With so much competition from the different manufacturers all together under one roof, we felt we had to sedate them with alcohol to stop the infighting!
I promise we are not getting commission for product placement it’s just the boss was staying sober until the celebrations later that night!
But seriously, at this point I would like to thank everybody at Euro Digital and the Manufacturers (who by the way do not have a drinking problems, or so they reassure me!) who helped to make the 2 days really successful, without everybody rallying round it could have been very different and the customers really enjoyed meeting and asking them all questions.
That evening Gary the MD treated all the 3 offices to a thank-you meal so we chose Sapporo Teppanyaki.
This was a chance to let our hair down and catch up with each other on a social level – and at this point, no one was more grateful than me to switch off and relax!
Everyone has had a fantastic 2 days.
So from Ash, the Service Director, Vincent and all of us from Euro Digital Systems cheers, and thank you for the last 10 years support we could not have done it without you and here’s to the next 10.
